About the Area

Though small in size at just under 2 square miles, in a few short years Wilton Manors has become an international tourist destination, and things are only getting better. Originally called Main Street, Wilton Drive is today lined with high-end rental apartments and condominiums, bars, restaurants and charming gift shops, with much more on the way. But in the unlikely case that you can't find enough to do on the Drive, Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach are just a short car ride away.

Then, of course, there's Miami, about an hour's drive on I-95. If Fort Lauderdale beach isn't enough, head to Miami Beach and brunch on Lincoln Road. The new Brightline intercity rail will get you from Broward Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale to downtown Miami in about 30 minutes, and to West Palm Beach in about 45. Current plans are for the train to terminate in Orlando, with a proposal to cross the state and eventually terminate in Tampa.

So, from Wilton Manors you can get just about anywhere you might want to go, then come back home in no-time to savor sloe-gin fizzes in the quiet of your own backyard.
