Surrounded by the Stranahan River, the New River and Lake Mabel, Harbor Beach is one of only two gated communities east of the Intracoastal, the other being Bay Colony to the north, and its homeowners association publishes its own magazine with not-to-be-missed information and contributions from several local political figures. With direct ocean access and no fixed bridges, Harbor Beach — where prices for palatial waterfront estates can be in the scores of millions of dollars — is home to more than a few mega-yachts, as one might imagine. But not to worry: even if you're not among the über-rich you can still be close to all the fun, as more modest homes and condominiums are available oceanside, east of Seabreeze Boulevard.
Things to do in Harbor BeachThings a’plenty! The nearby private Harbor Beach Surf Club has been in existence for over 70 years, preserving its 300-foot private beach and pavilion, as well as its private marina. The Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina is located on SE 17th Street, as is the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six. The Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club is a short way away on South Ocean Lane, and the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach is just off Seabreeze, on Holiday Drive. In other words, everything you could want in luxury is just a stone's throw away!
